Palmetto Fellows:
Students who meet the following three criteria may be eligible to apply for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship during their senior year of high school and receive up to $6,700 each academic year:
- Score at least 1200 (verbal + math) on the SAT or 27 (composite) on the ACT
- Earn a minimum of 3.50 cumulative GPA
- Rank in the top 6% of your class
Life Scholarship:
Students attending a four year institution who meet two of the following three criteria may receive up to $5,000 (including a $300 book allowance) each academic year. Students attending a two year institution will receive up to the cost of tuition plus a $300 book allowance.
- Earn a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Rank in the top 30% of the graduating class
- Score at least 1100 (verbal + math) on the SAT or 24 on the ACT
Hope Scholarship:
To be eligible for the Hope Scholarship, a student must earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA upon high school graduation and be attending a four year institution. This award is for one year only, earning up to $2,800 (including a $150 book allowance).

A: No, these scholarships may ONLY be used at institutions within the state of South Carolina. If you are looking at attending a "border college," I encourage you to speak with their admissions office to let them know that you would be turning down state scholarship money to attend.
